Services for people with special needs

Constructed in 1995 the Baldwinsville Public Library is handicapped accessible in accordance with the Americans With Disabilities Act.

SIGN LANGUAGE INTERPRETER SERVICE

Patrons attending library programs who require a sign language interpreter should make their request two weeks prior to the date of the event.

LARGE PRINT & AUDIO BOOKS

The library has a collection of large print booksĀ and audio books for adults and children. In addition patrons who qualify may register for the Library of Congress Talking Books Program. Click here for detailed information and application forms.

CLOSED CAPTION VIDEO

The video collection includes closed caption videos for people with hearing impairment and described videos for people with visual impairment.

LARGE PRINT & SPEECH RECOGNITION & MAGNIFICATION COMPUTER

There is a large type computer (has access to the Internet and the library catalog) with large type and speech software, large print keyboard, large screen and magnifier for viewing print materials.

HEARING IMPAIRED RELAY SERVICE
