The Baldwinsville Public Library is chartered to serve over 32,000 residents of the Baldwinsville School District, and is tax-supported by them.  The Board of  Trustees administers the library budget and policies.  As a member of the Onondaga County Public Library System, the library is part of a network that provides free access to the collections and services of all public libraries in Onondaga County.

Taxpayers within the Baldwinsville School District are eligible to vote on the library budget if they are at least 18 years of age and have lived in the school district for at least 30 days prior to the election date.
